A note about large square and rectangular planters:
Large steel and wood planter forms with square edges have a tendency to "bleed" or show "honeycombing" at
the top edges. Form release oil will fill this honeycombing causing a dark staining
(see 24 x 24 x 24 plain planter at lower left).
Light sandblasting will tend to remove much of this edge discoloration,
(see 60 x 60 x 30 light sandblast
at left)
and exposed aggregate will not show any honeycombing at all.
These form shapes are ideal for exposed aggregate. Plain concrete and light sandblast finishes are possible,
but clients should be aware of the limitations with these shapes.
